Site-Sift - never used, but Lots of folks here have LMA - was once really good but outdated and cumbersome. Doesn't have any way to accept payments for featured listings. eSyndicat - never used, but I'm hearing a lot of good things (hype?) FreePhpDirectoryScript - never used, but it claims to be powering GoGuides phpDirectory - never used, don't know anything about it. But it claims free. Beta. Download will be released "in next few days". (wonder how long that has been up) IndexScript - I've never used it, but a LOT of DPers have. Sure they'll speak up here sooner or later.
Does anyone know of one that is similar to phplinkdirectory.. It's just a little dear (75$) to take off the link back.
CPLinks : cpLinks - a free commercial grade links directory script, Static, creates physical html files. CPDynaLinks : cpLinks - a free commercial grade links directory script, dynamic, used mod_rewrite.
Thanks, not my idea from the beginning. It is from the free indexscript mysql dump that someone on this forum was giving out
I am new so this might seem like something I should know but what is a directory script and what is its benefit.
A directory script is like a link database that you provide your users with, you can also sell some links called "Featured Links" at your directory and earn money thru it. Adsense is not very usefull if you have a directory, it also depends on how you place the ads though.
I am using http://www.phplinkdirectory.com for 2 of my directories. This directory is having quite nice features... I am using paid version.. links are there in my sig.
http://www.phplinkdirectory.com ver 2.0 is the best free directory in my opinon tried site-sift and that esyndicat(can't rember the name) and 2 more which I found on the net, phpld beats them all
