I want the best CMS for free for my site. I upload this site daily and uses heavily... Currently i am shifted to joomla from wordpress 2.7 ! because i want the professional look on my site but i didn't find any wordpress template suitable to my site ! Now i doesn't know about Joomla ! can anybody here help me in creating my site or just give me the wordpress template with 3 columns one left and one right.The template should be flexible in width. i can give an example sites which template i want... sites are indiastudychannel.com, cbseguess.com I want to put maximum content on my site ! please help, its an educational !
Joomla and Wordpress can also do this. If you can't find a satisfactory template for either, you may have to either purchase a premium template, or hire a designer to design one for you. As far as the aesthetics of the site go, they're both capable of producing the same looks, and some templates could even be ported between the two. For your needs they function the same way.
if you bothered to look up mambo's history you'd realize you would want joomla. I won't explain here, just trust me. Now, both wordpress and joomla are simply a set of PHP scripts that go between the database where your information is stored, and the HTML template that displays your data. The look of either lies in the HTML template you select, and both as well designed and share similar capabilities aesthetics-wise. Personally I have chosen to use and learn Wordpress, but Joomla is equally good. Pick one, embrace it, learn it and get the best template you can afford for it.

e107 CMS is now best for you. e107 theme core file has custom line code which can be applied for creating new layout for any page. Suppose you want 3 column in homepage, 2 column in blog pages, somepages without any left/right menu.. e107 made this easy...I'm not sure how other CMS handle this issue for custom page or layout.
