Two of the forums I converted were quite heavily customized, both with various phpBB MODs as well as some original/unique modifications. You will lose the customizations, of course, but most are easily redone if you are familiar with PHP. The conversion is of the databse, not the forum software. On the other hand, neither of these forums have "paid memberships" - you should check to see whether similar MODs are available for SMF before making the conversion, or to see how difficult it would be to rcereate those MODs for SMF yourself. You may also be able to pay someone to do it within the SMF support community.

There you go! Thanks, vbgamer... so far, almost everytime I've gone looking for an SMF mod to replace one I used to have on phpBB, I've found it. What isn't there now probably will be in a week or a month or so. The SMF community is very active and growing rapidly from what I can see.
Yeah I will give it a couple months and see where it's all at. I have to do some serious server work asap. One of my servers is choking on it's 300+ sites. Mysql today is going bang-bang-pfff and cpu is near 100% usage. I last looked at SMF about 2 months ago. I have yet to install and play with it though.
Where do I get information on how to do SEO on SMF? Is there things that I will want to do as I set it up to max the SEO? like the naming and directory address? SMF and PHPBB were both free in my new hosting program and they can be set up with Fantistico which I have never used before. Thanks in advance for your help!
