    I'm still a fan of Vbulletin all these years, even the 4.x version. Perhaps its just what I know well.

    I've tried my fair share of forum software, and I have to say that I fancy IPB the most. Looks great, feels smooth, very easy-to-use. Of course, most other forum software carry the same traits though.

    Xenforo and IPB paid and mybb and Vanilla for free :),
    If possible try Discuz X ,its a chinese software but it is decoded into English by some guys,its pretty advanced software for free :)

    discuz is the best in my book it even has social networking features too very impressive but it is chinese but once translated its pretty good forum software

    Xenforo is easily the best. Better mods, better designs, better support community. I should know I'm a active member of the support community (as is Digitalpoint) lol.

    No, nothing is better than Xenforo. It's the top software on the market. It even stumped VB (although that's not hard since VB blows now that IB owns it).
