Thinking of starting a forum and wanted to know what forum script would be better to buy: vBulletin vs. Invision Board Any suggestions?
although I don't have an answer, I'd love to ask folks how vBulletin stacks up agains Simple Machines Form which I use and find quick nice.--never tired vBulletin but am thinking about eventually switching over
Both are best on there location . I personaly like Invision power board 2 reasons, the new version 3.2 simply rocks and one is i am using a licensed one
Simple Machine is best. I am using it in one of my thread. I have no idea about vBulletin. But I think if DP is using vBulletin then go for it. Hope u got my point of view. Cheers.
Vbulletin by far!!! The mods are awesome!!! Service is pretty good too over on vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org. phpbb is getting better, but I still don't think it comes close to vbulletin.
Invision Board has a hosted solution and also supported modules: blogs, gallery. Used phpbb before and hated to upgrade anything because it always messed up my mods. So I think a paid forum with support is the way to go now.
Between those two, I'll say vBulletin is the obvious choice. Widely used, alot of addons and upgrades available.
