I would like to know which is the best forum software for Wordpress. What I wanted is something that interacted with Wordpress.

I think bbPress is the easiest one to integrate with WP.
It's developped by the same peoples and the tweak for the integration seems easy and well documented.

But there is also bridges for WP/ Vbulletin or WP/SMF and I think others bridges for other forums software.

Funny enought I was reading the BBpress site and they state that bbpress isn't completely integrated to WP. You still need to install a few plugins for it to share user information.

Yes that's i thought also. It's ok for a simple site that doesn't want to much glitter but for what I'm thinking it won't do. I personally like vanilla forum but have had some problems with that script in the past.

If you are serious and want something scalable, upgradable, dependable and of ofcourse well supported go with vBulletin than install vBSEO. You can check them both on my blogger forum. Highly recommended because if your site gets big you'll most likely switch to this anyways...

the best integration solution is joomla with fireboard. It just keeps getting better and better.
