I dont want to start a new tread, so I ask one more question.

What is the best free forum? I know everybody is talking about vBulletin, but this cost $100-$200.

well, phpbb is a very good one, but it is a little complicated (but as you can see on warez-bb, porn-bb, etc, it can handle quite a big traffic)
one of the not too complicated but still good is smf.
If you want a smple one: MyBB

Have fun! Also you can try them out on opensourcecms.com

The ones that integrate with Wordpress really suck - I would rather use an un-integrated vBulletin forum just for the features and credibility it gives to your visitors.

vBulletin is the best but its not free. I think the PHPBB is the best forum to start with, later on you can convert it to a vbulletin.

I think that trying to pick a forum that will merge with wordpress is just a bad idea - go for a decent forum instead, if people want to visit your forum and your site then a bit of a design difference won't matter

phpbb has always been really good for me, BUT(big but), in their tos, they don't let you remove the copyright information at the bottom of the page and i offered to pay to get permission for removal and emailed them, they never answered.
