Best forum for SEO and Ads?

    Im going to be starting a community forum soon, and I want to know what the best forum software (free) that is reliable and is decent for SEO and is convenient to place ad banners and text links on.

    Why don't you buy a vBulletin license instead?
    SMF is good though.

    Once the community is established we will upgrade to something such as Vbulletin, but at the start we would like to keep cost to a minimum.
