I think you misinterpreted my words. Or at least I didn't mean to say it like that. She was suggesting a specific forum software and I was merely correcting her saying he was looking for designs and not which forum software to use. Sorry for the confusion ~eric
Come on everyone, yugolancer is right. A good web designer must close his/her eyes to the world, care not for trends and public opinion - ingore posters, magazines, other web designers, fashion and all external thought. The true web Master will drink only heated water (flavors overly stimulate the mind) while he/she sits in darkness, waiting for idea atoms to randomly strike the cerabral cortex that and enable the adept to design a concept so out of this world it will blow the minds of you vapid Earth-types.
IPbcustomize.com and pixel2life.com are my favorite forum designs. There are plenty more, but i like their simplicity and elegant looks.

well there is a lot of stuff related forum and designing you just need to search on google and from there you will get the a lot of stuff!!!
search for bbpress themes in google and you will see some cool designs. also see the smf theme section.
I personally find that the regular vBulletin skin is very nice. And if you switch the theme of this forum to vBulletin blue I think it looks very pleasant ~eric
