Best for Google: Wordpress or basic site content?

I have recently added an article directory to my site using wordpress, however this article directory looks NOTHING like the site itself and I don't like that.

So I decided to just post all the articles separately as pages on my site.

Will this make my article less likely to be indexed by google?

Also my site is made in sitebuilder from yahoo.. will that also mean less SERPS on Google?

    Thanks for any advice here

It's the same, it all depends on the type/amount of optimization of your blog or regular site.

Also those plugins can slow your Wp down by a lot. So it's not always a WIN situation

I think wordpress CMS is really good for SEO and your pages will be indexed fast by using wordpress and if you install some seo plugins for your wordpress and post each article on a separate page, you can get good traffic from search engines to your website.

    Amazing topic,

Because as per my experience a website with normal web pages in root directory gets indexed as soon as google crawls the pages and its content. Using CMS is not that effective. I had a website and i create a page in .asp with good keywords, title, description..you know SEO. All pages were in root and they were indexed very well. Then i thought to make it dynamic and installed Wordpress and traffic dropped to literraly 0 and i had to start everything from begining. Its been 2 years now and the site is still not well indexed by google. When i had web pages, it had all pages indexed. Alexa rank was around 100,000 and after installing wordpress it added one more 0 to it.
