Best Firewall?

    Hey i got some guy saying he's going to try and hack me..... and I need a good firewall, preferably a free one lol because i really don't feel like wasting money since i think he's lying....

    Could you help me out please :)

    Zone Alarm Pro FTW, not free though, but 94% of good software isnt.

    I get that free with my ISP, I have been with 4 diffrent ISP's all give me paid firewalls for free. Call them up and ask them if they got one, they probably do. And anyway, most people say they will hack you, but it never happens, it happens often on the net. They do it just to scare you, which it obviously did. Zone Alarm will make you allow connection to another IP trying to connect to your computer aka you will be able to block a hacker when he attempts to connect to your PC.

    PS I have had Mcaffe, Norton, Some n00b program, and Zone Alarm

    and I say Zone Alarm hands down.

    Yes Zone Alarm is the best one.Dont go for free ones as most of them valid for 1 or 2 weeks max.

    Simply not true.

    As for securing your home system, nothing beats a properly secured $30 SOHO router (Linksys, Netgear, etc) running NAT/PAT in front of your PC. An attacker can't compromise what he can't talk to.

    mine was also free with my internet cable - I use Rogers
