I am looking to buy expired/aged domains to benefit the SEO of my affiliate site. My current site is PR1 and has been around for a year. Buying an expired domain and then 301 redirecting it to my affiliate site would bring with it lots of backlinks and age/authority which should help my rankings. My question is; how close in terms of relevance does the aged domain need to be with the one that it will be redirected to. Does the aged domain need to target the same keywords as my affiliate site OR should it simply be in the same 'Technology' niche? My site targets terms such as "SIM only deals" and "Compare SIM only deals". The problem is that I can not find an aged domain with a good quantity of links and good authority that matches my site's targeted keywords. What are my options? So should I: (a) buy some expired generic technology blogs? OR (b) buy a combination domains that target my keywords? For example: an insurance comparison site, a daily deals site a Sims blog (Sims as in the computer game). Is best practice to choose a site based on broad niche i.e. technology or to choose a site that shares one or more of the same keywords even if it is in a different niche?
Expired domains are BS They've already been picked through, and all the good ones taken, before being listed You have to find live domains that are neglected - hosting adsense, or trying to sell clickbank crap When you find these sites, you email the owner, and ask if they would like to sell the site Some people outsource the work, and only get involved when a site owner shows interest
Well, in expired domain you can't find all the things you are looking for.. If you want to buy an aged domain name only then I would suggest that you can buy it from Godaddy auction, you can buy even 4 letter domain name in just price of around $20-$30
