hmmm no experience in IT and you are here on DP, you cannot point to links in your sig to show your credibility, a search on your posts reveal that there are other areas where you do not have experience. other DPers are asking for samples and what area do you have knowledge in, so build your cedibility and people will start to trust you... is that not what social networking is all about

I dont really have any one area that I'm good at writing... If you give me an article to write on any subject I do guarantee an A+ article, so why not give me a shot. Yes, payment after you receive the work is fine with me, however I would more appreciate half payment up front. I still haven't found anyone brave enough to work with me, so I'm open for any work you need.

shortpunk, just jump in and offer. Find a post of someone looking for writers and offer to write. That's how it starts. You can do it. Give it a shot!
shortpunk... just some advice. I started promoting myself on here a few months ago, just the same as you. I have found that if I charge much more than "market" prices here ($0.01 a word) then my PM box stays empty. Im sure eventually I'll be able to charge more, but not right now. ...and I have some Itrader and DP references, I dont believe you do from what I see. I would suggest lowering your prices since you are so new. gl livin
Did you ever make any of the samples? What about you samples? Also, as potential buyers, we are not supposed to ask for reviews/free trials, but if you wwant to reduce your price for a small article, I will give you an honest review of your writing. This is exactly what you need to do, also, send PMs to everyone that makes a thread needing article writers. Absolutely not! Just because somebody else is selling it for a penny does not mean that we all should...... unless he is only worth a penny to himself. ? OP, You will have to prove yourself to a certain extent, but I think it would be best to create some awesome articles and post them on a directory such as ezine and then link to them so people can see how good you really are and then they can decide to pay a better price. Just giving my opinion, for all I know, you might be a terrible writer!
Talk about yourself. I am charging $0.05 - $0.10 a word and my hands are full. You don't need to lower your price if you know you are worth it. I would suggest posting samples (as the person above me said!). If they are good the work will flow. On the other hand, if you need to start with a client immediately, provide a couple of discounted articles for review. Make sure you choose the right person. This will surely get the ball rolling for you.
