I have a medium size site and I'm not happy with the integrated email software on my joomla site. It's called Acajoom. Now the software might be OK, it might be that we don't know how to use it. My problem is that we seem to get a really lousy response rate on our mailings. Are there any great articles or information that help me understand what to do? For instance: - What's the optimal throttle rate for a large mailing? We're doing a thousand every five minutes. Is that good? - Are there special arrangements we should make with our hosting company for a large email effort (we send out 100K emails to a single opt-in list once/month) - Is there any joomla email software that tracks properly the bounces, open rates, and clickthrus? I'm used to using a third party service which was expensive but had all sorts of features that I'm not finding in our own software.
