Best Email Marketing Software (not service)

I'm looking for the best email marketing software (not a service) to use to send emails to our 5,000 weekly subscribers from our own microsoft exchange mail server, and storing in a MySQL database. It needs to do automatic email removal of the bouncebacks, etc. I'm tired of constant contact, or streamsend or others, which charge reoccurring fees and have poor deliverability rates, and some insist on their own cheesy branding images at the bottom of your email.

Do you have experience with email marketing software and which are the best?

We have used Sugar CRM, which is open source. It will track opens, bouncebacks and even replies from your contacts. It is free. The downside however is it can take a little while to get it set up the way you want it. It has a dizzying array of options, so for some it might be overkill.

There are other similar options like zoho, but I have never used them.

I don't think listwire is software and I don't trust it (it's probably not free if a video boasts for a long time on the home page about how good it is).

Has anyone used Interspire, Email Marketing Pro, Group Mail, Email Marketing Director, or SendBlaster?
