Hello, We have acquired customqualitythemes.com they were a large provider of templates includeing PSD, Wordpress, eCommerce etc. Now, since we have acquired them, we are going to re launch the site and redesign it. It was running on Zen Cart platform, but this is a very difficult process for downloadable products. We have various thoughts on what platform we should run the new store on, but would like to hear your input as well. What do you think the best ecommerce sacript to run a template store would be?
Hello, We have considered using wordpress with the eCommerce plugin and it is high on our list at the moment.
Magento or Prestashop is your best bet to do it correctly. Prestashop is much easier to use out of the gate if you are not familiar with Magento. Nigel
Zen Cart is good because it has modules that support several different types of payment options (I believe, even though I'm an OSCommerce fan). However, with either OSCommerce or Zen Cart, I would recommend doing an overhaul to make it more SEO friendly (better links, good titles, etc). That seems to be lacking these days for the most popular carts and might be a good spin off for people to buy from you.
Depending what you want to achieve with your eCommerce, either Magento, or the basic paypal shopping cart will do it.
Magento's great. There's a few kinks here and there to be ironed out, but for something aesthetically appealing, easy to use (front and back-end) and also for free -- you can't go wrong.
I think WP will work, it has millions of plugins and futures you can use to build good site! Look here man what they did - http://www.iloveyouwp.com/
