Best Domain Name for Top Search Placement

I am interested in buying some new domains, and I'm wondering if someone has an expert opinion on which formatting google likes best in order of rank (these are hypothetical names):

mysearchterm.com (I'm assuming this one is best)
my-search-term.com
mysearchterm.net
my-search-term.net
mysearchterm.org
my-search-term.org

Assuming that mysearchterm.com is not available (which it usually isn't), which would you buy next, and so on...?

Ok, this is not an expert advice, but I would always prefer mysearchter.com style domains. They are easier to remember and I am sure with some proper SEO, you can get good SE position. I am not sure about the top spot with any of the styles. It all depends on your search term and competition

 

It doesn't really matter, as long as you have your keyword in the domain, you can still get on stop.

 

Yes keyword help but you have to work hard for it too . Today main thing matters is content and the services you are providing . This is my acknowledgment and let other seniors say what they think .

 

I would like to purchase "searchterm.net" because it would be more easy to remember for any visitor. If you are targeting more then one theme then you should not go with any particular search term.

You have already got the order of preference right in the original post. The dot com is the first preferred choice.

 

mysearchterm.org is my option. Google can easily catch your keyword, if it is on your URL and also in title. Good luck

 

As a visitor i would like to have mysearchterm.com as the domain name as it is most common among all names and hence easy to remember.
