I have stopped using blog commenting as these links are weak and do not last. I prefer one way backlinks on PR websites that are at least PR2. If you can write guest posts you will see not only a link juice benefit but also a big increase in traffic from people clicking on those links.
I agree. commenthunt.com is good. The backlinkspot site is not well liked it seems among blog owners... see these comments about backlinkspot: http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/www.backlinkspot.com/ Above link is not recommended for children under age 13, contains naughty language that probably expresses the level of frustration by blog owners who get SPAMMED big time. P.S. Is humor allowed on this forum? Hope so.
Thanks for this helpful thread. Looks like too much of a good thing, backlinkspot appears to be shut down. Oh, well.
You might also want to check out these two: http://directoryblogger.com/dofollow-blog-search/ http://www.inlineseo.com/dofollowdiver/ I didn't like commenthunt but dofollowdiver is really good.
It looks like one size does not fit all. Some might be good at finding something like "wedding or bridal blogs" and another of the dofollow sites might be good at finding something like "auto racing or sports or game blogs." By all means try them all out and see which one gives you good results for your specific niche. Just mho.
@NiceFairPrice: Absolutely right. Most of these search engines evolve from lists maintained by link builders commenting on blogs of a particular niche. That's the reason I expected commenthunt to be really good but it seems they don't really update their search engine regularly. I have prepared a list of dofollow search engines that I could find easily on this forum, hopefully this will help people find their favorite. http://directoryblogger.com/are-you-tired-of-looking-for-dofollow-blogs/
I use this site to find dofollow blogs only: http://www.seopositions.net/dofollow/. There is also a dofollow portal (classified by niches) on the way out
Hi there, I quote myself here because I want to share the news. I kept my promise and the DoFollow Directory is almost done now. It's in a testing phase and I will really appreciate your opinions. As I said in this thread I need 3 volunteers to help me and in turn I'll give them the privilege to post 3 featured listings (for 3 months worth $10.97). Thanks!
I'm using BlogFinder. It will list the PR of the homepage, the PR of the post page as well as do/no-follow icon. I think it is OK.
None of them are that great. 75% of the time I try to use a dofollow search engine, I end up at a nofollow blog.
I have my own personal dofollow search engine. It's designed mainly for humor/entertainment niches. http://funfollow.funnyforum.org/
I don't think there are any good dofollow search engines. Usually blogs that are found there will be spammed fast and aren't nofollow for a long time.
