I use SEO Start Directory Manager v2.0, works very well for small directories - very customizable easy to integrate - no database needed, text file - very fast

I vote for PHPLD. I use it on several directories and the latest versions include some absolutely fabulous admin tools, such as: IP banning, Google and Yahoo sitemaps, and database backup just to name a few.
PHPLD has everything you need in a directory, the price is right, and it is extremely easy to modify.
The complaint I have with phpld is how few tempates there seem to be, especially good ones. Anyone able to point me towards some good templates? (Not phpldtemplates.com) Cheers Steve
I've never used any of the directory programs out there... as I've always just programmed my own systems. So, at least the poll does me a service by identifying what's out there.
Thanks! Yeah I have nothing but great things to say about the the people and software of phpld. So naturally I had to spread the word, plus it helps when you lurk here already.
good templates cost money, especialy when there is very little competion. If you have half a grand to spend, talk to me and we'll make it happen
You can take any free template and easily customize it to fix phpld. I just finished my new site at www.websortings.com with a free site template online. I'd change it (at least for me) to the problem with esyndicat is the good template counts out there because it's harder to modify their template.
The templating system uses Smarty, which means if you know html, you should be able to incorporate just about any design.
