Best directory script to choose and why?

I'm starting yet another director, but want to make it right.

What script to choose?
Free vs. Commercial (are there any differences)?
Payment system?

 

These are the steps you need to follow at DP

1) You need to read the forum more often.
2) you need to search for the question before starting threads.
3) It is safe to keep your account at DP safe then getting banned.
4) Respect other members. (Don't waste their time)

free vs. commercial - every script has its own advantages and disadvantages, their own features. First you should decide which feature would suit your needs and so on... the same deals with payment system...

 

I think you phpLD is best in both free and paid.
version 3 is paid and 2 is free.

my vote goes for indexu.

script is very good.

no need to pay for removing the footer.
no need to pay for all kind of mods.
