Best Directory Script? eSyndiCat PRO or PhpLD 3.0 ?

Guys, how about PhpLD vs eSyndicat vs PhpMyDirectory?

If we don't talk about pricing and only compare their latest version and features, which is a stronger script?

 

I think phpld, it is the mlost used and most user friendly script, however esyndicat is also good one
I never used phpmydir so I cant give a review.

 

i will vote for phpld, due it is user friendly and cheap if you just started in this domain, maybe one day i will try eSyndicat unlimited license, but for now i will stick to phpld.

 

Again... how can you "vote" for phpLD in a choice between phpLD and eSyndicat if you admit you've not tried eSyndicat? That makes no sense.

qlWebDS (the Premium version 5.0.3) beats them all.

 

How's that qlWebDS beats them all? With what?

 

To me, it looks boxy, clunky, and antiquated.

My vote goes to phpLD, I've tried eSyndicat and found it doesn't allow the user much control, and is far less easier to modify than phpLD. phpLD is 1 click of the mouse to make your directory look and feel completely different, eSyndicat is seven mouse lifetimes later...

 

Features, features, features AND ease of use, I've tried them all and there is no comparison. After using qlWebDS for 7 months, I would never go back to another script. Unless something better comes out.

The original poll was for phpld and esyndicat,

qlweb has got some nice feature but I am afraid both phpld and phplynx have far more features within them than the free version of qlweb and for the cost phplynx has many of the features of the premium version of qlweb and is currently on $45 dollars.

yupp.. even i agree that eSyndicate pro rocks..

its a much better directory script than older competitor phpld, which is also Good and More popular.

why people don`t know or vote for it more is coz its new and not marketed with any hype.

Total BS. I have trouble believing you've tried eSyndicat at all - if you did, it had to have been the old free version at best and your comments aren't even accurate for that old version.

I might well have gone with phpLynx had I not first found eSyndicat. I really have no reason to switch now.

Possibly. A lot of people using phpLD haven't tried anything else.

 

I merely believe those with 3000+ posts should be respected. Obviously not. eSyndicat 2.2 was complete and utter bollocks. Like it or lump it, Mr.

 

More BS, "Mr.". You may have had a problem with your upgrade. But that doesn't make it "bollocks". I'm sure all the people who are currently using 2.2x and are happy with it would disagree with you.

 

My very first posting and I am in a debate with heated words! I am having used both scripts in past and both are not fantastic at base level they are being shortcoming in different ways. esyndicat version 2 was always being hacked and support very poor but phpld much better but they do be charging if you need help from one of their specialists. I am seeing that this war between who is best is fake because it should perhaps be being who is most popular in it is now many other scripts are being better than both phpld and esyndicat.

I am not going to be hijacking this thread by naming any I am just giving my opinion that you should be stopping this immature posting that one script can throw stones further than the other so it must therefore be the best, the answer is neither of them are the best in the wider sense but in a narrow sense then it has to be phpld for cleaner coding and support even though it lacks many features for free.

Just my two cents worth.

 

Good post. I don't agree with everything you say here but that's a pretty good two cents' worth, IMO.

 

Out of interest have you seen the latest demo of phplynx, http:// phplynx.com/demo (cannot post live links as yet, remove spaces), The skin has been made for the cantufind network by phplynxtemplates.co.uk and has some great features within it.

Believe me its worth taking a look.
