    Hello guys,

    what's the best directory in your opinion for bringing in visitors to your websites? Several of mine, get some traffic from DMOZ and Yahoo, but that's about it. How does it look with your websites?

    If you are in photography field I think the best option for you is social media marketing, bookmarking and forum participation.

    Pay Per click advertising,online press releases.Create rss feed at feed burner. submit good quality articles to article directories. avoid linking to low PR sites. submit your site to yahoo.it's use must improve your site traffic.

    The directory with good and genuine PR, High PR will give you some really good traffic.

    There are several ;), Dmoz sends 10 ips per day for me.

    In fact directories are not built for traffic.

    I cant really come up with a single web directory that alone will bring you lots of visitors, but if your wanting specifically web directory traffic, then the best option would be having lots of directories linking to you all giving you a few visitors each and adding up to a lot of visitors for your website.

    They aren't really built for traffic anymore. I would worry more about ranking higher in keywords.

    These, two are exceptions when we talk about directory in relation with traffic.

    Other directories would some popular niche directories as well, so you have to find them according to your niche.

    Directory listing is a part of off-page optimization that helps your website in getting ranked higher but directory listing never helps you in bringing traffic to your website.

    To get traffic, you need to be ranked higher in google organic, rest you can bring paid traffic or free traffic from social media websites.
