    Aplus?
    Are you serious?

Just a note to all the people looking for opinions on hosting at DP:

Don't ask here. Just go to WHT and read.

I would suggest Hetzner if you don't need a USA dedi. I tried them for four months and I give them five stars.

    cheers

I think it depends on teh server specs you are looking for....

    I've had servers with theplanet.com and serverbeach.com

serverbeach was pretty good, I would recommend them for low-end servers.
theplanet is great if you are looking for something US based but i've heard they've been slacking a bit since they merged with another Texas based company.

We have six managed servers at 1and1. Never had a problem in 4 years.

I've looked at all the links you guys provided but they're all averaging around $80 for a server whereas the link I posted is half that...

Well, I think a lot of the difference is location. Aside from that, I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for... except when purchasing ebooks. ;)

www.liquidweb.com - we've been with them for almost a year, and pretty much everything has been good.

(also check out www.webhostingtalk.com for reviews and more information about dedicated hosting...)

There are still many good dedicated server providers available, a quick search in Google would definitely help you.

You didn't mention price, so saying Rackspace would be fair. They have the most wonderful service you can think of. Not the cheapest ones, however.

If you don't need managed servers or you're willing to pay an outside company to do the management then I'm a big fan of SoftLayer. My company currently has quite a few servers there and of course we've seen a few hiccups but we had seem them with every company we've ever used in this price range. Softlayer's portal is really fantastic no one else in the industry compares in that respect. Just so many features and the ability to manage the machines yourself without the need for techs to console in or format a server is just awesome.

Really depends on where you want your servers to be located..

If you say US, I say Theplanet or CIhost.

If you say EU, try Magmasolutions
