out of 130k impression I have an all time average of 1,52% I guess it is the average normally below 2% if you are not fooling the visitors at some point.
This statement is not entirely true. It is possible to have a 30% CTR with only 15% of visitors clicking if they all clicked twice. Now I'm not saying it is as clear cut as that but IF your ads are relevant AND they are actually searching for something and not just browsing then the likelyhood is they will click on more than one ad. The logic is that if they search on a search engine they are more likely to click on more than sponsored listing then a single one and it is no different if your website is highly relevant and has highly relevant ads. These are my thoughts anyway
yea but still 30% CTR of people is a HUGE percentage of people to click ads no matter where they came from. No matter what their goals are when searching or wanting to buy. Its hard enough to get 30% of people (or 15% in your case) to go to another page on your own site! but to have them click your ads??!?! this is just astonishing to me
that's the trick to my 45% ctr. ( that's an average by the way. some days I get 100%) my visitors all come from search engines and when they hit the site they are still in search mode so they'll click around the site, especially because the ads are perfectly relevant, blended, and all where you would expect to click a link The trouble is these people click the ads, leave my site and never come back. hehe. The next step is to improve its content, attract repeat visitors at the expense of lowering my CTR but improving my traffic count
I have only 2% CTR on my own site, but one of our clients has a whopping 7.20% CTR! I made the website for them.
Mine is over 45% mostly and that's causing me to think twice about my site's CTR. I'd rather earn less than getting banned
