Best Converting?

Ok here is my question since my experience and expertise is in computers. I was looking at the computing and internet category. Has anyone had any luck with the registry cleaning, and spyware/virus removal affiliates. I am wanting to stay away from the satellite pc thing as I am sure that the refund rate is probably pretty high.

I am just looking for some tips and suggestions. So any you all can give I would really appreciate it. My current site which is promoting movie, mp3 download for iphone, ipod etc.. does not seem to be converting well. I don't want to make the same mistakes I have made with the current selection.

Hi, Im promise I'm not saying this to be rude. But I don't think people are going to tell you what products are converting well for them (Unless they are the publisher). It's like calling Coca-Cola and asking for the recipe, or asking the Coloniel for the 11 herbs and spices in KFC. :)

My best advice would be to stop promoting stuff that isnt making you money and test other products.

I usually find about only 2 or 3 items out of 10 that I test actually convert well. I always have at least 4 going at all times, Im always testing. Things that convert well might not tomorrow - its always changing and you just have to hope to get a solid product at the right time :)

To me it's like playing the stock market, its like gambling (except I make money, not lose it lol.)

I'll be happy to give you any general advice I can, let me know!

    P.S. - Keep testing

Yea I was a bit aprehensive about asking the question as I knew that was going to be the response. But hey can't blame a guy for trying :) I am going to try to work on this campaign for a bit longer to see what happens, then I am going to move to another if the conversions don't go my way. Thanks for the tips. The group has been awesome at helping me over the last couple weeks.

Try to narrow down your keywords you are bidding on to targeted and not general ones as you will spend less and convert much better.

Try and test. Make sure you have at least 50 clicks and then decide from there. add tracking id as well.

I'd even go with saying 100 clicks minimum maybe even more because it's hard to give up on just 50.

personally i test with 250 clicks. I have paid banner ads on 7 websites with a traffic rank under 12k alexa so i can test if a product work in 24 hours. I just rotate my banner and sponsor every hour between my known-working product and my test one and i compare the results at the end of the day. If it work, i add it to my list, if it doesn't, i test a new one.

50 click is good test for CPC
If you dont pay for your clicks, you better try on a larger scale.

I have not tried Computing & Internet category. I believe they are converting well, since there are products in that category with Gravity more than 200. This category is in my "To be tested" list though.

As far as testing is concerned, I spend 50% of commission for any product to see if it converts. If I am gonna get 20 dollars for that product I will spend max 10.
