Best converting Wordpress themes for Adsense use?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Tonka, Nov 12, 2010.

I was running a large site created with wordpress for a few months. I used Adsense and my CTR was awful. It was around the 0.02-0.04% CTR. I noticed I had somewhat higher CTR and CPM when I used the larger ads instead of the smaller ones.

So my question is does anyone know of any free of paid wordpress themes that are designed for adsense use?

    Thanks!

There's no template that is the best template. It depends on users interactions with a website. It may take some time to learn what works the best.

Try different templates and customize them to learn.

Altthough placement is important, it is more important to get right kind of visitors to your blog. You need to promote and get targeted traffic. Eventually, those visitors will click on your ads.

Same background as the content on your site has, also the same color on the links as the links on your content has, so for a standard site with blue links you'd had blue titles, black text and blue url. No borders or anything.

If you try to trick people into clicking on them yeah, like placing your own links that look just the same directly under a link list or something like that, but placing them inside of your content is something that you should do and won't get you banned. Like having a 338x280 in the middle of your article or something like that, and on the front page in between posts. You want people to read your ads and click on those they are interested in after all.

Just not the template, ad placement and colors matters in increasing ctr.

Careful about using templates that are made for "MFA" sites. Google is aware of them. If they visit your site and deem it to be "MFA" they will bring the ban hammer down on your fast than a nerdy teen who hacked the schools mainframe.

    Well think about this,

If your site is just not showing the ads that your visitors may be interested in, no theme on earth is going to help your earnings.

But, if your website contains only the ads that your visitors want to see, then it does not matter what your theme is.

Maybe focusing on content, better inbound links and better navigation would improve the ads.

When you have a good navigation system, you have people using it, and it increases pageviews. Now, Google Adsense ads pay attention to the content on the page the visitor just came from. So think about this... a great navigation system can actually have an impact on the quality of google ads.

Just improve every single element of your site you can think of... it takes several weeks to really start seeing the difference.

    Good luck.
