You can look at what sites sell best on clickbank. They show percentages on how each program does.

Search engine and adwords and promotion do well. Newer programs seem to do best.

Unless you have very high knowledge about the [tangible] products and you know where to advertise them, do not try to promote such products. Most of them give you 20% to 30% in sale commissions, but you may not get enough profit. And also there is a problem of chargebacks whenn user returns the product and you will be sitting with hands on your chin [sadly] watching the red corrected leads.

Best programs which have worked for me is the free leads. When user requests for info you get paid. That converts best.

Some digital products pay you for free trial when user signs for $0 trial with CC but they are not so easy bcoz many people nowadays hesitate to give CC info.

    Rep Plz! :D

A few of the dating sites pay per lead, for genuine sign ups. You still need a hell of a lot to make any money from it though.

In CJ you can actually display advertisers in a certain order, just click the "lead" tab at the top of the lists and browse through to see what might fit your site's genre. You'll do better if the ads are related to your site as people are already looking for those things if they're at your site in the first place.

I would look for the offers that are free. Usually these products are in the insurance and finance areas

I am a loyal user of CJ. I would suggest "Appartments" as the most efficient payer among all CJ advertisers. It pays $10 in just 1 day!! And you don't need to buy anything!!! Check out more on india-fresher-jobs.blogspot.com -- scroll down to locate Appartments ad.
