For example the http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ site is simple, is quite popular and requires little to no maintenance. Something simple could be really popular. Just keep looking around till you find the right idea.
For me it's a LIST BUILDING website... the niche doesn't matter, so long as it's profitable... but list building is the very best long term strategy.
I've always had the most success with affiliate marketing... In particular, I've been targeting the "financial" niche for the past 10 years or so.
