I had 2 Samsung F3 1TB dsrives in RAID 0 till recently- but then the RAID profile suddenly got erased- no idea why- but the drives themselves are stiull perfectly working individually.
ssd harddiscs are best for now. i prefer corsair gs series for ssd. but if you are looking for mechanical harddisc, then my advise will be western digital, black series. black series are manufactured for long term using.
Seagate drives used to be great but now they have more problems and failures during the first year than any other maker. I'd go for WD or Samsung.
Seagate has the longest warranty: although you may lose some data if you're not smart enough to keep backups, seagate stands behind their product for the longest period of time. I recommend seagate for platter drives. Samsung for SSD's
