    Hi ReadyToGo, there is a Google and YouTube merger. I do agree with you that that is a high probabilty that the name will be changed. But if the name is to change, Google will need to re-brand it again and it will be quite troublesome to shift that huge database.

    they buyed orkut but dint changed name they will just use logo on youtube also i think.Mostly google youtube ,but if microsoft might have buyed they will change name like microtube or softtube :D

    There's no need for rebranding. Corporations do it all the time because the product of a merger has to represent both companies.
    Google didn't change its name because this was an aquisition. ;)
