My editor just crashed and I'm about done trying to fix it. I've been using Coldfusion Editor 5 for years because of:
    1. its configurability
    2. friendliness for all languages
    3. left-side projects, scripts (configurable), folders (1 and 2)

    I can't re-install it and I can't uninstall it after several attempts.

    I'm in WinXP SP3.

What do you use for a code editor, why and have you used it for a long time?

    Thanks. I need it today.

I've never written ColdFusion, but seeing as Adobe purchased Macromedia years ago, I'm quite certain dreamweaver likely had some CF support.

    Far as editors I use
    - Komodo IDE
    - Coda

Straight Notepad baby! lol - nah, I actually use FlashDevelop as a txt code editor, and Notepad++ when needed.

    Hey there,

It you have the money to acquire it, dreamweaver is really nice for development. For all the projects I do up in PHP I always goto it if it's more than a few lines that I can't just knock out in vanilla notepad.

The only real problem I have with dreamweaver is that it doesn't window snap in windows 7 so I'm forced to manually resize. Thankfully at the office, though, I have a dual LCD setup :D

    Thanks!
