If you're looking to build a big site and are willing to pay money, then I highly recommend vBulletin. It has made my life a lot easier. I get a lot more work done because of it.

I love Modx... really easy to figure out, lots of plugins for various features you may want to add to your site and it's great if you want to dig in and get "deeper" with playing with coding.

Both joomla and Wordpress are awesome, but i prefer Wordpress more. As it seems more easy and reliable and i easily found required plugins.
    Thanks
