Most are free or very low cost and since many are open source, they have a pool of thousands of developers updating them and adding new features. They come with thousands of templates, themes, and plugins and are much easier to use than typical software that requires a high level of HTML and CSS knowledge to create a great Website.
I can recommend you WordPress - friendly CMS especially when you will install free SEO plugin, which help you create meta title, meta discription, keyords and other elements. Nice templates you can for example find here bktemplates.com
if you want to get a new website i would suggest https://wpoven.com which lets you manage and setup wordpress powered website with managed hosting. the whole process of setting up a decent website fully functional in just few minutes.
Wordpress is easy to learn, manage, and there are a million awesome layouts/themes available - most of which are free. No question in my mind.
It depends. I cannot say that there is the "best CMS" for this because any experienced developer can make Wordpress or Joomla or Drupal do what you want. It just depends on how much money you are willing to part with. However, I would say use Wordpress or Publify since they seem to be fairly easy to work with overall.
We have clients that have used Droopal, Joomla, WordPress, Ecktron, PHPCOW, and many others. Without a doubt WordPress is the most popular, most flexible and scalable option for most people. It is supported by many hosts and is familiar for users There are many prebuilt themes just for news. Once you have WordPress running for a news site there are plugins that make running a news site much easier, including the FeedSyndicate one.
I am just discouraged by CMS's that have no visible pricing and no online demo. I had client that used Ektron and I wasn't impressed at all. For news website there is also Vivvo, but if you have limited budget I would go with Wordpress. After all it has the press in its name
H, Go with Subrion open source cms. Tons of free plugins, built in News & Blogs plugins. Easy way to manage your templates, and powerful admin dashboard.
Yes, Word press is the best platform for your needs, We can easily customize, and also it is seo optimized.
I don't know about this thread - is being watched or not - I would like to accept all the replies echoes as "wp" or "joomla". But I think using those free CMS are helpful but great in risk if you have no expert CMS trouble shooter. So everything depend on your capability (of coding, security issues) to handle the worst circumstances (if arise).
