I am looking for best CMS for news website.

Please don't mention Joomla and wordpress which I don't like for news website.

Are there any other CMS for news site apart from Joomla (with ijoomla) or Wordpress?

    I appreciate your help.

    thanks

The best way is buy scripts ( CMS ) which is dedicated to your site. Find somenone in this forum who build commercial CMS and tell him what you relly want in yous site. This CMS will be faster and better. When some CMS is for everythink ( Joomla, WP) it have to much option that you never use....

You can try drupal or easycms. Drupal is one of the best CMSs in market.

I said not to recommend Wordpress or Joomla.

I have quite a few WP powered sites.

    e.g. www.thehostingblog.com , www.web-hosting-news.com

I don't like WP and Joomla for news site.

Do other big news sites use them?

Like telegraph.co.uk , bbc.co.uk . Do they use those blog scripts?

I like to know other scripts than wordpress or Joomla.

Do not discuss WP or Joomla (ijoomla magazine) here.

    Anyone used opencms ?

Drupal and e107. But may be Drupal ultimately , ultimately you discover nothing beats it. Not even any commercial solution, unless its drupal's own commercial wing Aqua

See news site built easily but very differently from each other, all using drupal
    http://esciencenews.com/ - science news
    http://sparkleshelf.com/ - fashion news
and at least a dozen big others like mtv, onion etc

You can follow the story how these were built using drupal at

I look at it. Installation is a bit complicated and it ask to install python again even though my hosting provider got python itself.

Dude whether you like it or not, wordpress is the best for news related sites. If you choose a magazine theme, something similar to the one I'm using then wordpress will be your dream cms!

Anyway, apart from that i think drupal is quite good.
