Hi all, I have a site to do for a client and was going to use Wordpress, but I have just got info that wordpress is not good for my clients hosting company. Does anyone know which free cms it would be best for me to use and host with this company.
I assume this is because it's Windows hosting. You can use joomla on Windows hosting if it supports php. If it doesn't you need to find an asp.net compatible cms - I've heard of one called umbraco, but I've no experience of it myself -don't think it's free
Well, e107 and phpnuke is working nearly everywhere... but wordpress should work too, so i don't really know...
Wordpress should work on windows - perhaps its things like url rewrite that won't work on windows hosting? - but that the same no matter what script you use. Try joomla I have it running on a windows box with no issues.
You are going to base a project on a Host? Why not find a new host and do it right? Is there a specific reason why they have to go with a specific host? Is it an in house thing? Hosting is cheap. Redesigning a site or using a product that is not right for the job is very expensive.
Drupal is good for this. However if you wanna go more simpler, then you can try CMSMadeSimple. Google and you'll find their website. Pretty simple and great CMS. You can say its the wordpress for websites (and not blogs )
Hey, Joomla and Wordpress both are compatible for site building because both are CMS. Wordpress is SEO friendly. But Joomla is very advance.
