One of my friend is good artist, have many artwork inclusing- fineart, sketching, portrat etc. Now he want to start a website, where he can sell & show it. Now which one of the blow is better to start a small and simple website. If he wants to sell it, i would recommend using an shopping cart script. For ex, zen cart, E-Commerce etc.
WordPress has some shopping cart stuff too. If it's a showcase, hm well... it depends on what is wanted/needed. If he wants something unique I would do a "static" showcase that links to a oscommerce or whatever...
