I have had my best luck with craigslist.

Search google for classified ad sites also. You need to do a lot more then just submit a classified ad to get traffic to your site. Write articles, post on forums...etc

USfreeads is pretty popular

 

craigslist gets searched quick but Im a fan of usfreeads. also backpage,hoobly,and oodle

 

As of my experience craigslist best one.

 

The only online classifieds I use is Craiglist. There really is nothing else in the same league.

 

Try one in my signature, there you can promote your website/services.

 

There are lots of good classifieds it depends what you want to spend and what audience you are targeting.

I will vote gumtree as the best. Even better than craigslist. Being the regular user of gumtree i got huge traffic and sale everyday.
