I've never used an autoresponder before. After talking with several friends who tell me I'm missing out on lots of sales opportunities, I'm planning on starting a list.

I want to create an opt-in email list for my website. Looking for a service that is SIMPLE (no major coding or programming), and CHEAP (I don't want to pay a fortune - I can't afford to pay a large amount of money for each subscriber.)

I don't need lots of fancy bells and whistles. Just want to send out a text newsletter once a month or so. My website gets a lot of traffic (up to 28,000 visitors per day), so I expect the list may grow fast.

I do have a few questions:

    1. What service do you recommend? I was looking into aWeber and GetResponse.com and iContact. Actually, these are the only ones I know of. I am open to other options as well.

    2. Prices - I am having trouble finding prices for these services. They don't seem to list them openly on their websites. Why? I don't want to sign up for their "free trials" until I know what they cost.

    3. Let's say I sign up for an autoresponder and I decide to switch or cancel services a few months from now - do I get to keep the "list." In other words, do I get to see the email addresses of people on my list?

    4. I would like an autoresponder that will send users back to my homepage after they sign up. I have seen many that don't have a link back - it's a pet peeve, but it's important to me that visitors are returned to my site.

Thanks for any and all autoresponder/opt-in list advice.

I say go with get response! I'm not sure on the fee but its better to pay for the yearly service because its cheaper in the long haul. Everything else i suggest you ask the customer service!
