East or west, BSNL is the best... They offer quick and nice service.

I have Youtele (formely Iqara) & Sify Broadband, at my home, YouTele sucks big time, I just used for 1month n told them fuck off, crap billings n hence never paid their bill too told them to adjust with my deposit. :D

Today Tata people came home to advertise their service, I might take them soon.

For me till date Sify has been a rockstar! :)

I am in Blore and use Airtel 999 package and completely satisfied with it , BSNL is also a good service but it had a 3 month waiting period so went for airtel .

I advice anyone who is thinking of Tata Indicom to not go in for their services ,they are the worst of the lot. Yet to hear a positive review from someone

I agree. Youtele is a useless ISP. Very poor speeds and lots of downtime.

Unfortunately I do not have many choices in my area and have to continue with them.

BSNL operates in the whole of India barring Delhi and Mumbai which are left for MTNL

I was using pacenet for a yr, nite scheme for 400 bucks, got caught after more than a yr :p, switched to 128 Kbps for 880 bucks

I see lots of people not knowing difference between KBps(kilo bytes) and Kbps(kilo bits)
    1 KBps = 8 Kbps
    16 KBps = 128 Kbps.

    Hi well,
What you said is perfectly correct,
Because,When I was working before in bangalore there we also using Airtel 999 Package it's good...
Now I'm in chennai Here in my home area only TATA wireless & BSNL are available I hope other services are will come this year,
Here I want to share TATA Wireless service, Last 3 months I'm using 1GB Plan for nearly 700RS, but last time I used extra 250MB so they charge me extra 1250RS Last time my bill amount is 2340RS(nearly 50$) So I adviced everyone dont look TATA wireless service if you use more MB usage,
Now I have taken TATA wireless Unlimited Plan monthly its cost 1500Rs + service tax = nearly $40) because I have no option here,
I think sify unlimited plan is only RS500 This is real? Any one use their service?
IF you use sify service means please tell their rates and plan.
    Advanced Thanks.
    Regards

i got bsnl broadband in september 2005. it was the 250 home plan
in early 2006 i have used to too much, resulting a big bill. i tried to get the bill for my broadband, but till june2006, no one send any bill.

after that i got a bill for 8 months, and it was over 20 thousand. then i somehow convenced that it was free till march-april. and got it corrected, and i did not had to pay anything.

after that i changed the plan to home 500, and i got another wrong bill, which was also corrected.

later, i changed it to ul900 unlimited. got another wrong bill and yet again it was corrected. it's working all right since then.

between all this, i has used the sifi, but it charges hourly. i need something that is over 256 kbps and has a fixed monthly charge. but apart from bsnl, no one gives that facility.:(

2mbps thing is there iwth MTNL , however i dont trust those b@sturds , they screw around the lines too much.

ive used localoperator , exatt , sify, tatavsnl . tata is satisfactory , although much depends on local operator. Ive had quite a lot of experiences with all these isps, worthy of a huge post on some blog.:p

I'm having the BSNL Dataone Home 500 plan. I paid INR 5000 for 1 year. I'm having a 2 MBPS connection, with a montly upload / download limit of 2.5 GB. Also there is a Night Unlimited option from 2 AM - 8 AM
