From what I understand, 99% of internet marketing e-books stink, and the best way to learn IM is from forums and blogs. I know what forums are good , but now could someone please recommend some good blogs? Oh, and please don't turn this post into a spam-fest, that is, please give some blogs other than your own. Besides, if its any good, someone will probably recommend it anyway. Thanks.
It's not really a blog, but the bum marketing method website (just type into Google "bum marketing") is a pretty good beginning resource for people who start with article marketing. But what do you know about affiliate marketing already? Chances are you already know enough to get started just from reading here. Sure, you may come across something you want to clear up every now and again (I.E., What's a do follow vs. no follow link, or how to track down to the keyword in Adwords etc.) but there isn't anything really complicated about it and everyone has a different way of actually getting results (some people seem to target keywords based on the number of competing results in quotes, others use PR values of first-second page results etc.)
What you need to do is figure out which areas you are lacking in and search for those keywords. Seth Godin's blogs are popular for IM. There's places like seomoz.org that can help you with seo. IM encompasses a huge category. First you need to know what it is you need to know. If you don't then just start doing general searches and expand from there. There is no one place where you are going to find all of the info you need. When I come across an issue I am having I go and search out as much info as I can to learn about it. People who sell ebooks typically just take others information and repackage it to sell to you. It's all out there free.
Any one of the bajillion blogs out there will do it. I'll PM you my ebook so you can read what I've written up, just to show you not all e-books stink!
I follow Shoemoney, Jonathan Volk, Zac Johnson, and a few others pretty closely. I wouldn't recommend copying them. You're still going to have to go out on your own. However, they have pretty inspiring blogs, positive angles, and informative posts.
Here is a list of good AM blogs. I added whether they are best for beginner topics, advanced topics or if they have both. Good Affiliate Marketing Blogs: (* beginner topics) (+ advanced topics) AffiliateTip (*+) Jonathan Volk (+) Super Affiliate Mindset (*+) UberAffiliate Blog (+) ReveNews Affiliate News (+) Affiliate Summit Blog (*+) Affiliate Classroom Blog (*) 5 Star Affiliate Blog (*+) (Sorry to link out to my blog, normally I wouldn't, but 5 Star is one of the top industry blogs.) Hope this helps and best of luck!
