Wordpress is fantastic and free. Go with Wordpress. For a free hosted blog go with blogger, but if you have your own domain and hosting go with wordpress.

Wordpress. Loads of customization available. If you want it to be simple, let it be. If you want it to be complicated, it too can be one. Its simply powerful and stable.

WP - there is none to compare.

Others are too complicated for the same functionality.

go WP

at the same time hackers know all about WP so, keep updating your WP version and keep backups.

Thanks

As others have said. WP for me nearly every time,
but hosted myself. This allows me complete
control. Blogger used to have its place in my
business, but this has now been superceded by
other techniques today.

Has anybody had experiences using WP on free
hosts?

Wordpress

Reason: There is a very large community supporting and using wordpress. There are just so many plugins you can use.

I tried wordpress and use it.

I find it great but it's biggest fault is that for some reason the software does not like me.

I have to type
everytime I make a new paragraph even though the editor is suppose to be WYSIWYG. Everytime I put the
in a post and edit it, the post resets the paragraphs.

These bugs have completly turned me off it!

Wordpress if you have hosting and a domain.

Blogger if you just want to quickly set up a free blog.

Definitely WORDPRESS due to its flexibility. Search Engine Friendly plugins are the ASSETS.

there is actually no software available to compete with Wordpress. if you talk about blogger, you can not play with it at your will, you dont have option to have different plugins! It is no doubt wordpress that has compelled google to add widgets to their platform!
