Hello, All, This is my inaugural post on this forum I would like to know, what are the best blogging/self-publication platforms that ya'll use? I already know of Medium and I've just recently heard of Newzlet. What else is there? Cheers! Paul
The best blogging/self-publication platforms : WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Medium, Quora, Evernote and Postachio, Ghost
It really depends on which you work with best, there are many free one's out there but one I would recommend would be Wordpress, I have been using this one for years and would never change.
There are many blogging platform available like Blogger, WordPress, Medium etc. but I found WordPress is much better than others. You will have more options in the form of themes and plugins (both in free and paid versions) and a huge community to help you.
I get this question a lot... Medium - if you just want to get your content out there in front of people. Tumblr - if you want to create your own branded space with little work/technical know how. Wordpress.com - if you want to start creating pages beyond blog post. Wordpress.org - get your own hosting and have full control over your experience but requires a lot more technical know-how. Squarespace - If you want the above but with less need for technical know-how. Even if you do wordpress or squarespace... you can still trickle your content to tumblr and medium to gain more exposure for your posts.
The best blogging platform is obviously WordPress Self Hosted if you want to make a living from blogging. If not, Chris has already listed some cool options. If you're looking for a free wordpress subdomain hosting, hit me up. I've recently launched Blogging and would love to help fellow bloggers!
WordPress is a great platform to use. Easy to learn and use and provides a lot of helpful links. If you are deciding whether you want to get in to blogging or not a great site to check out is toconclude.com.
WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Wix,Weebly, and Squarespace are some good choices. I personally prefer WordPress.
If you are looking for free then WordPress and blogger is famous. In blogger you could use javascripts and advertisement code. But at free wordpress you could not use javascripts code and advertisement banner. But I like wordpress.
There are numerous paid and free blogging platforms for new bloggers. Though, WordPress and Blogger are the top blogging platforms, you can also try publishing your content on Ezine Articles, Tumblr, Quora and Squarespace. If you are planning to use your blog to earn money, I would suggest you buy your own domain and start a blog on WordPress. The biggest benefit of this platform is an easy access to so many add-ons and extensions, which you can easily install to customize your blog. You can also register on platforms like Blogmint to write for the brands to make money. You just have to register on the blog and participate in the campaign to start earning.
I love Wordpress because once you own your domain, you have complete control over your blog including advertising and selling from your blog. So much freedom!
I would go for either Ghost or WordpPress. Ghost is purely built for blogging. If your future plan is to create website go for wordpress. Both platforms are SEO supported.
Well... damn. I started using squarespace not too long ago. Sounds like I should have taken other routes.
Hey, I just joined. I agree that WordPress is the best Content Management System (CMS) which is very suitable for blogging!
