Hey everyone! So I've decided to become an affiliate with amazon for the moment. I'm interested in generating traffic and just getting a feel for what I'm getting into. I don't want to go all yet with domain/hosting/awebber ect. What would you guys recommend for a free blogging platform? I plan I utilizing social networks as well
You can try https://www.tumblr.com/ It's a microblogging / social networking platform. I am sure you've heard about it.
WordPress, no doubt about it - the king of Blogs and soon to rule over the CMS world You have all the flexibility and vast functionalities, great templates that are easily customizable and a helpful community, always ready to lend a hand.
I'd recommend Wordpress.com over blogspot or any other because of the addons/plugins/features you'd get with it. Its free, secure and feature rich, probably the best option for you right now.
don't wast your time with blogspot and chasing free hosting if you really want to get traffic from google, i regret the time i spent with blogspot.
Blogger and wordpress. Wordpress has more seo optimization feature than blogger. So most blogger prefer wordpress.
Wordpress of course. There no other platform that offers such level of personalization, plugins and ease of use.
No, no, no, no, no! If you're looking for a free way to sell Amazon products, use HubPages (I won't mind if you sign up under my link ). You have to write quality articles but HP has a pr6 last I checked plus, Amazon and eBay capsules are built right into the platform. It is soooo easy to just add a product in your article (you can pick or use keywords to find products). Also, quality articles are indexed almost immediately and if you have/signup for AdSense and Kontera, you also get revshare, in addition to HP's own ads that they split rev with you. Blogger used to have Amazon capsules but don't anymore. Things have changed at HP since the G updates. I'm not sure but I think nowadays, newbies have to have their articles approved at first. Used to be, we just wrote 'em up and hit the publish button. We had tons of fun there, I miss the old days with all my writer buddies.
I agree but he wants to keep it all free for now. He will also be starting from scratch with his SEO, etc., meaning no pagerank and so forth. Perhaps an established site would give him a bit of a head start?
