Hi all I wonder which are the most valuable niches for a brand new blog in 2017? I have some money to invest plus a very old AdSense account with 50€ in it. The real question is: what is the inizial investiment in terms of offsite SEO, link building (white hat) and promotion (AdWords, Facebook Ads)? I plan to write 1 or max 2 posts per day, unique content of course. Expected (net) earnings: 300-400 $ per month. Thank you in advance
The most valuable (or profitable) niche can vary from one person to another. It somewhat depends on your skills and interests. Just as an example, sports might be a very valuable niche, but if you know nothing about sports, it is probably not the best niche for you. Think about your interests and things you are passionate about. Make a list and then look for ways to monetize them. That may help you to decide.
I agree with danasurvey. It all comes down to what you are most passionate about. If you love what you do and talk about, you can always find ways to make money from it! As with the investment, it actually depends on you buddy. You can try the services for free and afterwards invest some money on them. In my case, that's what I did.
I fully agree with the previous forum participants. The main thing that this niche was really interesting to you. The main thing is to write interesting, useful content for your audience.
This list may or may not help you. Skincare Dating Advice Gambling Weight Loss Payday Loans/ Finance Body Building Women's Products Software E-cigarettes Insurance Specific Health Problems
Niches depends on you. It means that something you are passionate about. Choose a niche which you are passionate about and have good command on that niche. You cannot deliver 100% if you don't have any knowledge in your niche.
Ok, I chose the right niche for me (let's say a micro-niche about a certain smartphone brand), my old AdSense account is up and running, domain + hosting is ready, premium wordpress theme is ready (Yoast SEO Premium included). All I need now is good and fresh content and offsite SEO. What are the best services for good traffic and/or quality backlinks (AdSense safe)? I need to rank fast. How about AdWords and Facebook Ads? How much should I invest to get an average 400 € per month (net)? Thank you guys anyway!
Lol... You may need to invest 4000 € to rank fast in face of everyone for some months, then depending on your particular niche you may get 400 € /month(net) Ah! and AdSense and Facebook are so safe that they will keep your money really safe from you.(My advise is to look for other ways if you are starting out)
AdSense banners are not that good anymore? What about AdSense banners + affiliation links (Amazon etc.)?
It seem you are looking outsource everything. In that case choose a niche that has high CPC rate in adsense (as you will be monetizing mainly with adsense). And if you are trying to do the blogging yourself, choose a topic in which you are passionate about.
No, I don't want to outsource content. But I would write 1 max 2 posts per day the best way I can I love technology, expecially smartphones and computers. P.s. My site will be written in Italian since I live there.
This is a good point on your favor. But not all what we like makes money right away, most things start as a hobby, and based on their success, it becomes a business. If you need income fast, find something else to do while you develop your niche. Or if you have to invest, just invest like in any business.
Don't develop your "business" based on any specific "Service" if you can't identify where your target audience is. Where ever your target is, is where you have to go after. Google News, Adsense, youtube and the rest has zero importance if I sell my product to by neighbors or non internet users. Define your target market, then look for the service where you can find them.
I guess my target is hi-tech enthusiasts coming through Google search (organic traffic). Google News would give me a good traffic boost but It is difficult to get inside.
It's good that you set a realistic goal, $300.00 a month is achievable, but not in a short term unless you gone viral on Social Media. Getting traffic from search engines takes time. And when I say time I don't mean 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months, it might take more than a year if you are lucky. Most people give up after six months, because traffic is hard to get. So if you are welling to be patient you can reach your goal. I don't want to discourage you. I want you to have realistic look time wise. Are you welling to post 1 article everyday for the next 6 months without traffic? Because that takes a huge amount of patience. I have been working on my website for over two years now and I still don't get a steady amount of traffic. I haven't reached more than 11 organic visitors a day, 11 is my high. And don't think marketing is easy. It's hard. If you want to rank those articles you are going to have to do more than writing, you're gonna have to promote these articles. And when I say promote I don't mean AdWords or Facebook ads, because they are going to drain your money without results. You need to work on free type of promotion, like social media and link building. If you are interested in learning how to operate an online business I can be of help just PM me.
it will take you more than a year.. you will see that blog is really a time consuming thing.. and if you think that 1-2 posts per day is not a big deal, you are wrong. If you want your visitors to come to your website, read what you have written and buy something from you, your content should be really great
Have you looked into the travel niche lately? People are crazy over this niche! But you mentioned you're into more techie stuff, how about you write reviews and focus on link building through guest posts? Starting a blog isn't going to be easy and 1-2 posts per day can be done, but I suggest you write at least 20-30 pieces before you make your blog go live. This way, you can publish two articles per day while writing future content that you'll have on your blog. It also pay to email other bloggers you can do guest posts for.
This is an excellent idea you have presented here Brooke. Getting 1 week to 1 month worth of content written before hand great. Plus it give you enough time to do your research, come up with great titles and do plenty of brainstorming. And let's face it life does happen all the time. By having blog posts reading for publishing, if an emergency pop up, it won't interrupt the flow of the blog. And getting in the way of you making money. I remember reading one author on KBoards.com confessed that she keeps 6 months ahead of her schedule. So she always have 6 months worth of books ready for publishing. So literally she can go have a baby and come back. LOL!!!
