I've really enjoyed and appreciated all the help I've gotten from this site. The only thing that makes it really difficult is that I feel like there is so much to take in at once. I've read threads in the SEO forum, but I still don't have the slighest idea how SEO works. same with affiliates, and a ton of other stuff.

I was wondering what were some of the best resources for people who are complete n00bs at this stuff. Is there anywhere I could find basic information about a lot of this internet marketing stuff? maybe we could have an FAQ at the top of each forum.

You're right, it seems like once you think you have something figured out you read another blog or post that mentions additional items or terms you've never heard of, so you start looking into those terms and you see new terms and websites...it's never ending I swear.

It's absolutely mind blowing the number of new and useful sites I find everyday but will probably never get to use because there is just SO MUCH STUFF to absorb.

Anyway, I try to focus on one aspect every couple of days. One day i'll find AJAX or PHP sites and tutorials and just get familiar with the terminology and syntax.

Then i'll find a couple more topics to research like Java platforms and SEO tactics, load up on that information.

Eventually the useful stuff will stick with me and I can actually understand some of the stuff the pros are discussing. It also helps me to write down important terms and visit tagged websites frequently.

Hope this helps....even a little. Good luck!

I think the best way to go about it, is to try out what you read and see what works.
