I have been using them but the inability to set a price unless you are using a back up for THEM I think leaves a lot on the table.
I get more clicks ( or any clicks) from Adbrite but they amount to pocket change if that. Not sure if they are short changing me or if Im not setting the price.

Who else would be a good back up?

I think generally those using AdBrite and Contextweb are already out of the Adsense club.

Chitika I think is decent if you are premium. Otherwise it really takes a specific site to use them well.
If There isnt a search that brings a user back to my site, which means you have many returning visitors with a bookmark, Chitika doesnt even show an ad. So having them as a back up means having white space as a back up in a lot of cases. ( my case at least)

I've used Chitika and it's pretty good if you can't get an AdSense account.

Never tried Contextweb so can't comment on it.
