I am new to this and a little bit confused with all the contradictory infos I get on Internet. I would like to have your experienced opinions on mailling services (autoresponders).
Please if you could detail why a tool is better than another, it would be great.

I like using something that I can 100% control and keep my lists internal, not a third party. Plus, why pay a monthly fee when you can just buy the software once and use it forever.

I agree. Especially for something like this I think it's better to have something in YOUR control and NOT a monthly fee. Those recurring costs can and will add up quickly!

I guess that's why I went ahead and created software :). Some of the services really aren't even that great anyways. It's ridiculous.

I highly recommend Aweber, I was using 1stshoppingcart before and just wasn't happy with the service or the deliverability.

Simply check out the aweber blog to get an idea of the value they provide:

Self hosted script is the best, give you more control and there is no monthly fee. delivery rate ? I have no issue with that.

I started off with a self-hosted script because I didn't want the monthly cost of the paid services. Long story short.... It only took a few spam complaints from AOL users and the US armed forces servers and my local host email was virtually shut down by being blacklisted. And I wasn't sending out tons of emails or anything that I would consider spam. I was only collecting addresses and sending out a newsletter to my own previous 'buyers'. Just something to keep in mind.

I have since been very happy with Aweber in terms of deliverability, ease of use, and great customer support. I still hate to pay the monthly fee though. I'll admit it.

I would start off with Getresponse. They have excellent customer service. I used to use them a while back.

I did come across a new service Trafficwave.net they charge a fixed monthly fee of $17.95 no more what your list size is and they have a high delivery rate, you can import your own list if you got one especially if your moving from another service provider to Trafficwave.

If anyone has used this service please give me your review

I am ex-TW user. Everything is great about TW as compare to Aweber/GR which is quite costly. TW cost the same $17.95 regardless of your list size. I am extremely satisfied with the delivery rate. In my opinion, there is no point paying extra to Aweber/GR when TW can do the job just fine.

The only disadvantage of TW was that, you can't test the message. The only way to test it is to subscribe the list yourself.
Overall, I am still very satisfied with Traffic Wave.

People say Xerox instead of photocopier.
In the same way you should say Aweber instead of autoresponder.
Ask yourself - why does virtually every really successful marketer use Aweber?perhaps you should
If you can't afford $20 a month, perhaps you should get out of IM!

Most importantly everyone (especially newbie) should take action and build the list. It's useless to have the world's best autoresponder and yet the list doesn't grow, what's the point.

It depends upon what you want to do with your marketing. If you're just looking for an autoresponder, Aweber is the way to go. If you're looking to automate your business, Infusionsoft just can't be beat. Yes, it costs more but it allows you to automate just about every area of your business. Many people start out with Aweber or one of it's competitors but then transition to Infusionsoft when the realize how amazing automation is.

there is also a free autoresponder called listwire.. its completely free. But I would say if you are going to build a real business get a paid service
