Best automated server-to-server backup service/tool?

    Hey guys,

I know there are many backup services/companies around today. Most of them are for backing up your home computer to a server, or backing up a Windows server.

However, I have a few Linux/cPanel based servers and I'm looking for a high quality backup solution for public_html files and SQL databases. I want a company that offers a paid yet affordable service like this and that can automate this process every night or every week.

Google has not proven very helpful. Any help is appreciated.

Simple set a cron job to call file that do backup files and sql dump, zip and mail to yours.

cPanel hosting support cronjobs, i remembered, and the cmd is "lynx http://www.example.com/backup.php"...

If you want an external free cron job service, here's one: www.setcronjob.com

If you want a backup.php file that sql dump, zip, and mail to your mailbox, pm me for FREE :)

Now I'm set cron job to back up my files and db every 3 hours, and it's give me assurance :)

I'd get my server from softlayer. They have a server to server backup thing that you can rent depending on how much of disk space you need. I think they have the best in the industry. Just my 2 cents.

    Hello,

I know you're looking for tools, but I understand you may, at any point, also need a service where you can host backups. I think BQBackup (http://www.bqbackup.com/) works great.

By the way, it's not mine.

Using rSync or FTP should do the job.

    Best regards!
