Wow I just exchanged links for my baseball blogs by a site that has a much higher authority than Digitalpoint. Its a Pr6 with an alexa of about 600 and Compete rank of only 67!!!! The pages my links are on are linked directly from the front domain page and are a major part of the site. I still can't believe it. I couldn't believe it when they contacted me to exchange blogrolls, with a site that is in the top 67 on the net!! My sites are Pr4 but I can only imagine now what kind of boost that is going to give me. Whats the best site you ever got a backlink from?
I have very few competitors in the baseball niche and all of my competitors are authority sites, so Im more likely to get exchanges with good sites than my other niche sites, I don't expect to see anything like this on any of my other sites. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a compete rank of 67. Its one thing to have it on a link farm page but this is actually a major part of their site with real content.
congrats on the great backlink. i'm not sure about the site you exchanged link with being an authority site tho. authority sites don't usually exchange links. but if it is indeed an authority site, then all the best
