I wanted to create a web site with some articles. I want my friends to be able to post them as well under their own seperate accounts and I wanted visitors to be able to rate the articles, and have the ability to sort by ratings as well as the latest articles. What are some of the best free PHP-based article scripts that can do these things? Thanks for the recommendations!

I could recommend Wordpress blog script - It's good for article also, and have many plugings as well as many themes.

articledashboard for me. this way you can join a pool of article websites using the same script. it would be easier for article marketers to add content to your site.
ArticleMS is great - I run it also - but what I'm looking for is a pay article script - like the one at articlesale.com - except it has one flaw - it doesn't make the webmaster any money. All the money goes to the article writer. The paypal button should redirect a setable amount of the article fee - to the webmaster. This is a wordpress theme. MajorHart
